June 16-26,2005 Sq dance festivals

We've just returned to our home after attending the National Square Dance Convention in Portland, Oregon. We had a great time dancing, visiting with friends, watching demo's, and attending a performance by Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts. We stayed at the Columbia River RV park and used the Max (train) to get into downtown Portland. The weekend before the National we attended the Washington State Square dance festival at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw. Between the two festivals we stayed at a Thousand Trails Park near Chehalis. On Monday, the 20th of June we went to Johnson's Ridge at Mt. St. Helens. It was a perfect day for seeing the mountain.
