We've spent the last week here at Circle 8 square dance ranch. We thought we'd be here pretty much by ourselves until Friday. Nope, there were lots of other dancers here and they had all kind of eating activities planned. Tuesday night was a crab feed. Wednesday night was cajun. Thursday morning we had omelets in a bag. You put all the omelet stuff - (eggs, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, etc) in a plastic bag. Seal it and boil it in a pot of water for 15 minutes. Delicious.
Friday night the dancing started. We also danced Saturday morning, Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening. On Sunday we had a picnic in the meadow consisting of hot dogs, corn on the cob, and lots of other potluck type stuff. Then we played a wiffle ball golf tournement. We were paired up with the opposite sex and played in groups of 4. It was lots of fun. We had to be careful not to put the ball in the pond or under an RV.
Monday we drove over to Roslyn and beyond up to near Salmon La Sac. Roslyn is the small town where they used to film the TV show Northern Exposure. We did a small hike near Cooper Lake. It was hot so we only hiked for about an hour.
Today, Tuesday, we did laundry and grocery shopping. Wednesday Connie is heading to Seattle for lunch with friends and Thursday AM we're headed to Yellowstone.
