Seattle and Back to work

Monday, April 24th, we drove west over Stevens Pass to Everett. We had Connie's daughter, Michelle, over for dinner for her 38th birthday. Also, along were the grandkids, Nichole, and Cody. Tuesday, we had doctor and dentist appointments. We also moved to our new home in south Everett - Maple Grove RV park.

Wednesday morning, Connie went back to work as an independant contractor at the bank where she worked for 20 years. She is doing some Sarbox (Sarbanes-Oxley) for those who follow news about Security Exchange Registration laws!! 20 days total to work, with only 17 left to go. Bob has the job of getting the fifth wheel cleaned out of unnecessary stuff. It's amazing how much stuff we put in the fifth wheel that we haven't even used.

Saturday we visited with a friend from the bank and went to see her lovely home. Sunday we drove east to Granite Falls and then on up the Mountain Loop Highway. We did a hike up to Lake 22 (total round trip length 5.5 miles and 1300 foot elevation gain). It was beautiful. The last 1/2 mile was through a large snowpack.

Wenatchee, Washington

We're back in Washington again and will be here all summer. We flew back from Myrtle Beach, SC on Wednesday. Picked up Buddy on Thursday and arrived back in Yakima where our fifth wheel repairs were suppose to be done. Turns out we had to wait until about 3:00p.m. on Friday for them to be finished.

We drove to Wenatchee County park just west of Wenatchee to join an Alpenlite Travel Club campout (Alpenlite is the make of our fifth wheel). We've enjoyed meeting and visiting with the people in the Puget Pullers chapter of the club.

Today, Sunday, we're headed up to see Connie's son, Brian, and his wife, Toddi. They live in Entiat which is about 20 minutes from where we're camped.

Monday morning we head over Stevens Pass for Everett. We have some doctor and dentist appointments this next week. On Wednesday, Connie goes back to work at the bank (where she worked for 20 years) for up to 4 weeks. So, there might not be too much exciting stuff on this blog for the next few weeks.

Myrtle Beach, Monday, Dingus Day

On Easter Sunday we had mass said by Father, Ron, Connie's first cousin followed by a potluck dinner.

Monday morning we have Dingus day (sp??) a Polish holiday. First we had the Bagley family Olympics. 5 teams of 5 including adults and kids competed in various relay type races. In one of the races they had to race to the ocean, get bags of water, dump into a bucket, use a sponge to run to the other end and wring out the sponge in a small bucket. First team to fill the small bucket wins. After the Olympics, we had hotdogs and sausages.

Still to go are ice cream sundaes today and wine tasting party tomorrow. Check back for more pictures in the next blog.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

After arriving in Washington state on April 7th and spending the weekend with Connie's son, Brian, we drove to Yakima, WA where we left the fifth wheel. We're having some warranty work done on it while we vacation in Myrtle Beach.

We left Buddy with friends in Fall City. Marta and Don are taking care of our best 'Bud' and have been sending us email updates about his adventures with them. Sounds to us like he's having his own vacation with them. Marta even watched a pet video with him on TV.

On Tuesday, April 11th we flew to Raleigh, N.C. and then rented a red mustang convertible for our drive to Myrtle Beach, S.C. We arrived about midnight. We're staying in a three bedroom condo right on the beach with Connie's Uncle Norm and Aunt Mary Ellen. Connie's brother, Steve, and wife, Nancy arrived on Thursday. Others, of the family have trickled in with everyone being here by today (Friday). Altogether there will be 35 Bagley family here for the 25th Annual trek to Myrtle Beach. T-shirts have been ordered for all of us. And counting the rest of friends there will be 63 people here.

So, watch the blog for more pictures of the family reunion.
