Lake Easton State Park

On Saturday we met friends, Paul and Carol, at Lake Easton State Park for a hike. We hiked in the park and enjoyed our lunch while out hiking. Then we tried to find some geocaches, but that didn't work out very well. Next we showed them our favorite place, Circle 8.

My brother, Steve, and wife, Nancy, were camped in Roslyn which is pretty close by. We picked them up and went to the Old Number 3 - a place with great hamburgers that is nearby. Steve and Nancy have a teardrop trailer that he built and they were camped with others from their teardrop club. They were glad to go to dinner with us, since is was lightning and thundering and raining very hard.

Ohme Gardens

Since returning from Hawaii we've been busy working in the yard. The front yard plants are really taking off. We put in a concrete pavers patio between the back patio and the hot tub patio. It was a lot of work, but looks really great.

On Saturday, May 30th, 4 friends from Seattle came over to see our home, have lunch, and take a tour of Ohme Gardens. We all worked together at Federal Home Loan Bank and we try to go on a walk somewhere every 3 months. We were missing Mary Jane from our normal group as she was getting ready to fly to Boston.

We had aa good time visiting over lunch and then took a very hot tour of the gardens. The truck temperature said it was 94 when we finished the tour. There is a lot of shade at the gardens, but it was still quite warm. The women in the picture are: Jesslyn, myself, Susan, Kerri, and Jane. I am so happy they drove over from the Seattle area to Wenatchee.
