We've had a few activities this past month that have kept us busy.  I flew to Arizona for 3 days to see my dad.  He is staying north of Phoenix in the Prescott Valley.  I made up a photo album of mainly pictures of mom and gave it to him.  He seemed very happy to get it.  Dad's memory is really failing.  So, far he seems to manage his daily life.  But, he is losing weight and sometimes gets confused.

Tuesday we drove to Tacoma and stayed with friends, Paul and Carol.  They made us a lovely dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed.  Wednesday morning we drove to Northwest Trek Wildlife park.  The weather was beautiful and Mt. Rainier was awesome.  We met up with my brother, Steve, and his wife, Nancy, and with their son, Brent, and his son, Tyler.  Brian, Toddi, and Hudson also came along.  We took the tram first thing and saw every kind of animal they have in the free roaming area.  We saw 2 of their 3 moose, big horn sheep, bison, billy goats, elk, deer, turtles, swans and even one juvenile bald eagle (just in for a visit!).  Our thanks to Steve for getting us into the park for free.  He volunteers there and had some free tickets for us.  After visiting the bears, cougars, wetlands, etc we had seen it all, so headed to Orting for some Mexican food for lunch.  After lunch we took the boys to the park to play for awhile and then headed back to Wenatchee.  It was a long day, but so much fun.  Oh, and one more thing - we bought some Northwest strawberries.  They are so good!
