Haven't had time to take any new pictures, so thought we would post a picture from a favorite place!!  

Yakima, WA

We're here in Yakima attending a square dance weekend. We've enjoyed this weekend for the past 10 or so years. We square dance on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings and also during the day on Saturday and Sunday. It's a nice weekend, because the Yakima Valley square dance hall has room to park the RV's. So, we're all parked here for the entire weekend.

We head to Canada this next week. More info in the next blog. Connie is done working and we're ready to play again!!

Disney themed choir concert  

Our last week here in Everett

Here it is Friday night, May 19th. Thursday night we went to the High School where we attended our granddaughter, Nichole's choir concert. The choir has an outstanding director who really gets the kids to shine. The theme of this years concert was Disney. Lots of great songs - We sure enjoyed it.

This past week Connie had some exciting news. The Escapees RV magazine published an article written by Connie. The article was on the subject: What is a blog? This article earned the princely sum of $75.

Tomorrow, Saturday, we have a busy day scheduled. Breakfast with some square dance friends, then Connie heads south to meet up with some friends who used to work at the bank. We take a walk and then have a nice visit. In the afternoon we head to another friend's home from the bank for an early dinner. In the evening we're headed to our square dance club.

Connie has two more days to work. Next Wednesday we go to the eye doctor and stop for another appointment and then head east of the mountains to Yakima. We will be attending a square dance weekend.

Our last full week in Everett

Only 5 days left for Connie to work at the bank. We will then be headed over the mountains to the east side of Washington.

In the meantime we've been fairly busy. We had a friend from the bank over Friday evening and then spent the evening visiting and showing him some of our pictures.

On Sunday we went out to breakfast with someone who worked at the bank about 5 years ago. We had brunch with her, her husband and their two kids. Sunday was a really beautiful day here in Washington. We worked in the afternoon on getting the trailer better organized.

Today, Tuesday, Connie had some exciting news. She found out that an article she wrote for the Escapees magazine (it's for RV'ers) was published in the May/June issue. She earned a grand total of $75.00. Not a lot of money, but it is exciting to actually be a published writer.

Another week in Everett

Connie has now worked 10 days at the bank where she used to work. Bob has been busy installing a slide drawer in the hatch of the fifth wheel. Not too many exciting happenings to report.

We met some friends for breakfast last Saturday morning. Last Sunday we stayed home and worked on some paperwork (all that fun stuff).

The bank is trying to convince Connie that it might need her more than for the original contract. But, it's hard to work once a person gets used to that lazy retirement lifestyle.
