Cruise to celebrate our anniversary

Details of cruise on Roya Caribbean Allure of the Seas

We flew to Orlando where Bob's sister picked us up at the airport.  The next day we had a family gathering with Bob's daughter, Amy, her 3 children, and the grown grandchildren and their kids.  Altogether there were 5 great grandsons and 3 grandaughters  11 years and younger, plus the grownups.

On January 11th we drove 2 1/2 hours to Ft. Lauderdale.  We got on the ship about 1:00pm.  Tthis ship holds 5300 passengers so it is very big!  We were joined on this cruse by Bob's sister, Lynn, her friend, Helen, Bob,s second cousin, Bill, and his wife, Anne.

The first evening we saw the musical, Chicago.  We really enjoyed the shows.  The last day we saw Ice Games - the Ice skating show. I think this was my favorite show.  We also attended the headliner show which was a group called Abbacadabra.  They were a spin on ABBA doing their music (think Mama Mia). One of the other highlghts was a show called Blue Planet. This was also very well done. Also, we had the Aqua show.  Lots of fun stuff to see and do.

The ship has an area called Central Park, plus a Boardwalk with a carosel.  The ship is beautiful. There are lots of actvities for the kids, a flowrider, climbing wall, and a zipline.

And last but not least we celebrated our 30 year anniversary on January 12th. We went to a party that morning and won a door prize. When claiming it I said it was our anniversary. The special events staff took our cabin number and sent 2 bottles of champagne to our table for dinner.
