Our 28th anniversary

On January 7th, Bob and I flew to Phoenix.  Dad had been moved to an assisted living apartment.  We were there to help with cleaning up dad's park model.  Unfortunately Bob couldn't help as he fell on New Year's Eve day in our driveway and broke a rib.  My brother, Steve, sister-in-law, Nancy, and I cleaned, painted, removed linoleum, and other tasks to ready dad's park model for sale.

We did take a day off for a ride in the desert.  Steve took me out riding on his ATV to the Coke Ovens.  We went with a group from his park in Casa Grande.  It was a fun day.  The weather was clear and sunny and not too cold.

We flew home to Wenatchee on our 28th anniversary, January 12th.  This anniversary feels like shades of the past.  For our 25th we drove to the Canadian Rockies and on the day of our anniversary Bob slipped and fell on some steps and spent the night at the emergency room in Banff.  We had hamburgers from McDonalds on the 25th.  Last night we had spaghetti here at home.  We were both too tired to go out to eat and Bob's rib is still hurting.

I just heard from my brother today (Sunday the 13th).  They had a problem with water at dad's assisted living place.  They had to evacuate dad to the Holiday Inn.  So, now dad is all worried about this.  His apartment did have water coming into the living room.  None had gotten in the bedroom or walk-in closet.
