St. George, Utah
We spent a week at St. George, Utah doing lots of hiking. We've now moved onto a park near Zion. We met up with my brother, Steve and his wife, Nancy. On Sunday we spent the day at Zions NP. It was warm and sunny. We enjoyed a couple of short hikes, a nice lunch, some shopping. Then we visited the Kolob Canyons section of Zion. Kolob means 'star closest to heaven'. We did a short hike here also, until a winter storm blew in. By the time we returned to the RV, it was snowing. I guess that is spring in Utah! Steve and Nancy leave today - headed towards Moab, Utah. We're here one more day. The weather is cold and sunny. Not sure where we're headed today, but we need to go somewhere!

Las Vegas
Our three nights in Las Vegas have gone by quickly. On Thursday evening we attended the Follies Bergere. This show is the classic Las Vegas revue with gorgeous showgirls wearing feathers, sequins, and skimpy costumes. The last act with the French cancan is a fun, energetic number. Also in the show were the Long twins who can fold themselves into barrels, and do amazing handstands where one holds up the other. Since I've been taking yoga I can really appreciate how much they can bend.
Friday evening we attended Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. The theater at the Venetian was custom built to showcase this musical. There is an unique four piece moving chandelier which is exclusive to Las Vegas. This was a very spectacular show and we're glad we were able to attend.
Saturday (today) we drove up to Red Rock Canyon. We went up with the intention of doing a hike, but it was so windy we just went to the visitor center, ate our sandwiches in the truck, took a short walk, and drove the scenic loop.
