It's snowing!
Oh, a nice Saturday morning with the snow falling. It's suppose to snow a couple of inches today. It's nice to sit inside and watch it snow. Maybe we'll take a walk later. And tonight we'll attend a square dance.
We made cookies and delivered them to a few of our neighbors and to the mailman and the newspaper carrier. One of our new neighbors brought over some cookies for us, also.
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Getting our Christmas tree
We've been busy this past week. As mentioned in the last blog, we had company on December 7th for the night. Our square dance friend, Mike, came to visit. He had dinner, enjoyed some time in the hot tub, watched Happy Feet on our new TV, and spent the night in our guest room - our very first visitor. Saturday we headed to Yakima for a square dance. We danced a little in the afternoon, had dinner at the square dance hall, and then danced again that evening. We spent the night in a motel and headed back to Wenatchee on Sunday morning.
Sunday night we drove to Leavenworth where we watched the tree lighting with Connie's brother, Steve and wife, Nancy, and son, Brian, and wife, Toddi. We then had dinner at Visconti's Italian restauraunt. The next day Steve and Nancy came over to see our new home.
Saturday, the 15th, we headed up towards Mission Ridge ski area to get our Christmas tree. For $5 - you can cut your own tree in the national forest. We snowshoed in about 1/2 a mile and picked out a tree. Brian and Toddi and their two dogs were with us. The dogs sure did enjoy the snow. Brian brought a sled for transporting the tree back to the truck. He made it look pretty easy. Today, Sunday, we put up the tree and decorated it. It's sort of a Charlie Brown tree, but we like it. With our new vaulted ceilings we were able to have a pretty tall tree.

Leavenworth
We've been in our new home 3 weeks. Slowly we're getting settled. We ordered a shade for the bedroom and Bob has installed it. (No more sheets on the window.) We still need to order more shades.
This past Tuesday we took a drive over to Leavenworth. We went through a few of the stores and had dinner.
We had quite a snow storm last weekend. We had 5 or 6 inches of snow. Up in Entiat, where son, Brian, lives they had almost 2 feet. Fortunately, it rained some on Monday and melted off a lot of the snow. The weather has been sunny and dry the rest of the week. Brian has taken a job over in Marysville so is driving over every Monday. He said it was a mess trying to get there last Monday.
A friend, Mike, from Everett is coming over to spend the night tonight. Tomorrow we're headed to Yakima to attend a square dance. We'll be spending the night, so that we don't have to drive home at 11:00. We've also joined a local square dance club - the Appleland Promenaders. They seem like a fun group so we're looking forward to being in the club.
