Fall in Wenatchee
The last month has been pretty busy. My daughter, Michelle, has moved in with us temporarily. Today was the first day of a new job for her at Walgreens. On Monday we drove to Everett and retrieved her household goods and brought them back to our garage here at home. We're hoping to get her into her own apartment very soon.
We've also been busy watching grandson, Hudson. Our daughter-in-law, Toddi, has been working for the census. We watched Hudson for most of a week back in September while she was doing some training in Omak. This next week we'll be watching Hudson again while she does more training in Spokane.
We were glad to do a hike last week up the Icicle River. Today we did a hike near the Wenatchee river. Both Michelle and Hudson came along today. We've also been helping Brian and Toddi get firewood near Blewett Pass. We may go again this weekend.
The last weekend of September we went to Winthrop (the western town) for a square dance weekend. This past weekend was our club anniversary dance. We had a nice turnout. Michelle came with us and danced every tip.
We've heard people say they are busier when they retire than when they worked, and I never believed it. But, I'm beginning to see the truth of those words!
